My client is looking for a Midweight Art Director with big ideas, great craft and the ability to make things happen.
This is an opportunity to join a brilliant creative team and work across a wide mix of integrated briefs, creating ideas that don't just look good on a page, they actually get made.
You'll be someone who can take a brief, find the interesting bit, and turn it into a strong, scalable creative idea that works across channels.
You might work alongside a Copywriter, collaborate with Designers and Motion Designers, or take a brief away and run with it yourself. Either way, you'll be expected to bring plenty of creative energy, strong art direction and a genuine desire to make the work better.
What you'll be doing
- Developing big, integrated creative ideas that answer the brief and can flex across different channels.
- Creating a range of strong concepts to present to Creative Directors and wider teams.
- Taking ideas from initial scamps through to polished execution.
- Working closely with Copywriters, Designers, Motion Designers, Planners and Creative Directors.
- Understanding what makes an idea work across different channels and adapting it accordingly.
- Bringing strong art direction and visual craft to every project.
- Presenting and selling your ideas with confidence.
- Getting involved in everything from big campaigns and pitches to smaller day-to-day briefs — with the same level of enthusiasm.
- Working with designers and production teams to bring your vision to life.
- Getting involved in shoots and understanding what it takes to turn an idea into great finished work.
- Using AI intelligently where it can genuinely improve the creative process.
- Keeping up with new platforms, technology, creative trends and cultural shifts.
- Challenging briefs and feedback when you think there's a better creative solution — always constructively.
- Delivering great work on time, on brief and within budget.
We're looking for an Art Director who is conceptual at heart but knows how to execute.
You'll have:
- Solid experience as a Midweight Art Director within a reputable creative or advertising agency.
- A portfolio packed with ideas that have genuinely been made.
- Strong integrated thinking — you understand how to take an idea beyond a single channel.
- Excellent art direction and visual craft.
- The ability to work independently, as well as alongside a Copywriter.
- Confidence presenting your ideas and explaining the thinking behind them.
- A commercial understanding of how creative work gets delivered.
- A collaborative attitude and zero ego — you enjoy working with different disciplines and making the overall work better.
- Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- An understanding of how AI can be used practically and creatively.
- A passion for the industry and a curiosity about what's happening next.
